Specialty Retailers - Breakout:

As most of you know by now, I like to follow the leading industry groups as they tend to offer up the best trading candidates. Industry group relative strength is very important because it signals what Wall Street is doing with their money, not with their mouths! Sometimes analysts speak with forked tongues so it's extremely important to follow where the money is going.

Last week, we saw an absolute breakout in one of the hottest areas in the first four months of 2019. Specialty retailers ($DJUSRS) broke out of a bullish cup with handle continuation pattern, which suggests we're going to see further strength ahead in this group. A further confirmation signal would be a relative breakout to the S&P 500. Here's a current look at the chart:
