Tom co-founded EarningsBeats in 2004, and previously spent 20 years in public accounting, passing the CPA exam in 1984, and establishing the fundamental background that translates so well at EarningsBeats.com. In 2015, Tom left EarningsBeats.com and joined StockCharts.com as Sr. Technical Analyst. Tom returned to EarningsBeats.com as its Chief Market Strategist in September 2019.

During his stint with StockCharts.com, Tom hosted StockCharts TV’s flagship show, “MarketWatchers LIVE”, providing expert market commentary and guidance, while interviewing many of the world’s leading technicians. He also published a daily blog, “Trading Places with Tom Bowley” at 9:00am EST every morning the stock market was open. In addition, Tom has spoken at various conferences in the U.S. and Canada, educating thousands of investors around the globe. Tom’s ability to make complex subjects easy to understand is a hallmark of his work. He uses intermarket relationships to evaluate the “big picture”, while utilizing his fundamental and technical approach to trade equities smarter using a very disciplined reward to risk approach. The combination of solid earnings, price and volume, together with relative strength serves as the backbone for his stock market approach.

Tom is divorced, has two children, lives in Tega Cay, SC, and enjoys golf in his spare time, where he sports an impressive 7 handicap.

John co-founded EarningsBeats in 2004 and has been active in the financial services industry for more than four decades. He has provided services to EarningsBeats.com members since 2004. John's passion is to provide the highest level of service possible to EarningsBeats members.

John has been active in technical analysis for 25 years and his voice has been heard globally since founding Invested Central, serving as the host of “Market Open LIVE”, a national radio broadcast that was featured in major cities around the U.S., while also authoring bi-weekly articles in the StockCharts.com ChartWatchers newsletter sent to investors around the world.

John is married, has two children, and lives in Charleston, SC.

Chris has been working with EarningsBeats since its inception, but joined the company full time in early 2022 to help enable the next phase of growth. Chris has spent his career helping companies optimize their technology and operations processes. In his role at EarningsBeats, Chris is in charge of overseeing the development of new tools and technology to help the company accomplish their mission of educating individual investors so they can meet their financial goals.

Early in his career Chris spent a decade in entertainment Design & Production, working behind the scenes to engineer and construct scenery for some of the top theatrical production companies in the country. Prior to joining EarningsBeats, Chris was the Vice President of Operations for Market Cube, a technology focused market research company. Chris was one of the first employees and helped Market Cube scale their operations to over 200 employees world wide prior to their acquisition by Schlesinger Group, one of the largest market research companies in the world, in 2020.

Chris is married and lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with his wife and 5 pets (3 dogs and 2 cats). Outside of work, Chris enjoys travel, cooking, and staring at his golf clubs which get used very infrequently.

Erin joined EarningsBeats in June of 2018 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech and working in public accounting for four years (she passed her CPA exam in 2015). During her time in public accounting, Erin thrived in analyzing large datasets and solving complex problems with Microsoft Excel - a skill that she leverages at EarningsBeats to assist in making market research more efficient and developing tools for members. In addition, Erin’s passion is for teaching and she enjoys onboarding new members and participating in the occasional webinar. As Tom’s daughter, her skillset illustrates the adage that the “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

Erin is happily married, has one daughter, and enjoys hiking in her spare time. Her favorite hike to date is the 18-mile day hike of the Grand Canyon down to the Colorado River and back.

Matt, a Sales and Research Associate, is in his 3rd year of working and learning with the EarningsBeats team. When he’s not working, you can find him golfing, hiking, or looking for a trivia night.
