The Steadiest of the Steady is Falling
I have, on many occasions, called AJ Gallagher (AJG) one of the steadiest growers and stocks on the planet.
The stock has been mostly unflappable. It's been rare to see even a 10% pullback since the financial crisis, with its uptrend remaining intact nearly throughout the past 16 years since that crisis.
Below is a 10-year chart that shows exactly how strong and dependable AJG has been:
Enter AJ Gallagher (AJG):
Since 2016, this is only the 2nd time that AJG has seen its weekly PPO dip below zero, 3rd time that it's lost its 50-week SMA, and 2nd time it's lost its weekly RSI support at 40. You can look at stock charts for hours and not find another stock with a better and more consistent long-term track record.
You can also see in the bottom panel that dividends have not only been rising every year, but the pace of dividend increases has been rising as well.
So is this an opportunity? Is it the end of a lengthy ascent? Well, that's a difficult thing to say at this moment, but history would certainly support buying AJG.
