This Industry Group Is On FIRE Right Now

On Friday, I was looking over the new 52-week highs on the NYSE and was a bit surprised to see that the asset managers group ($DJUSAG) had 15 different stocks setting new annual highs.

The next industry groups with the most number of companies hitting 52-week highs were diversified industrials ($DJUSID) and industrial machinery ($DJUSFE), with 5 each. That really underscores the strength in asset managers currently.

The DJUSAG hit its 52-week high on Friday, the first time it's done that January 29th, so the current strength may just be beginning:

Enter Dow Jones US Asset Managers ($DJUSAG):

There are two names in this space that I really like.

The first one, Bank of New York Mellon Corp (BK), has helped lead our Income Portfolio past the benchmark S&P 500 in the latest quarter. Its AD line is surging and it's been outperforming its peers by quite a margin in 2025. Investing in leading stocks in leading industry groups is the best way I know to beat the S&P 500 and BK is current proof of that.

The second asset managers stock, State Street Corp (STT), like BK, beat Wall Street consensus estimates as to both quarterly revenues and quarterly earnings. They are also both included on our Strong Earnings ChartList (SECL), which we update weekly for our EB members. It's essentially a Watch List that currently contains 363 annotated charts, highlighting key levels of price/gap support. EVERY stock that we've included in our portfolios over the years have come from this SECL.

Happy Trading!
