Dear Members:
Market Update:
Last Friday ended on a negative note but this morning the market is off to a positive start with all of the major indexes as we begin a new trading day and week. What's changed between Friday and this morning to give stocks a boost? Nothing major that can be pointed to. Perhaps traders just wanted to take some risk off the table going into the weekend. Earnings season kicked off last week and this week will feature heavyweights like Facebook, Google, Amazon and Apple reporting their numbers later in the week. So by week's end we will have heard from the largest market cap companies in the world which in turn should give us a good idea of whether or not traders are satisfied with the overall earnings picture. Even with the market higher this morning you can see the major indexes are off session highs; it's not going to be so easy to revisit the recent all time highs unless traders are satisfied with overall earnings results. The all time high on the S&P is 3017 so that is the upside target for the bulls. To the downside the S&P got as low as 2973 which happens to be just above the 20 day moving average is now support. It's quite possible we'll see some consolidation into mid weak just ahead of some powerhouse earnings reports.

We are being very selective on any new trade alerts while waiting for more companies to report. We will keep you posted on any new additions to the Watch List.
