Market Update: Some strong earnings after the bell last night and then this morning have traders in a good mood with all of the major indexes higher as we wrap up another busy week of earnings. So far the S&P has come up just short of the most recent high as traders wonder what might power the market higher now that traders have a good sense of the overall earnings picture. There are still a ton of earnings reports due to come out over the next few weeks but the companies that traders care about the most - with the exception of Apple next week - have already reported. We've also got the Fed rate decision coming out next week, for sure something the market cares about. The high on the S&P of just below 3020 is a level the bulls know they need to clear for the market to go higher. To the downside 2975 is a level that should provide support on any selling.
