EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: MARKET UPDATE Today we see a continuation of both the NASDAQ and S&P having difficulty holding key technical levels with both of these indexes now back below both their 20 and 50 day moving averages. The Dow is showing a bit more strength but is showing signs of struggling as well. The VIX is lower but well off the low of the session as traders take note of the current market weakness. We also continue to see traders selling on any moves higher. We certainly saw this on the S&P as it tried to clear both its 20 and 50 day moving averages only to see sell programs kick in. We saw the S&P get as low as 2433 just a few days backy so that is a level the bulls will be looking to hold, otherwise we could see additional selling. We're definitely in a vulnerable time of the year that favors the bears. Plus we're heading into the weekend. So it makes sense to remain on the conservative side for the moment. However, if the bulls do manage to close the S&P above 2451 then it could change the momentum.
