EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: MARKET UPDATE The monthly jobs report came out today a bit weaker than expected but still showing job creation at a decent pace. Traders seem to be fine with the report with all of the major indexes higher with the Dow back to 22,000 and the NASDAQ coming to within 10 points of its all time high. The move higher today is favoring the Dow and S&P with the NASDAQ showing some signs of fatigue after five days straight up and should be considered technically overbought. So far the VIX is showing traders are quite confident as it hits its lowest level in almost a month. Pretty positive considering we are now in the month of September, a month that is not always great for stocks. It's pretty clear that there is a strong bid under the market; traders have gone from bailing a week ago to jumping all in. The S&P is back within easy striking range of its all time high of 2490. Another 10 points or so would do the trick. We do have a long weekend coming up so it will be interesting to see if traders are willing to hold stocks into the close. There's no indication so far that we'll see wholesale selling but things can change as the day progresses. Still, anyway you look at it, the bulls are currently completely in charge.
