EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: First, Tom Bowley and I will be conducting a webinar this afternoon at 4:30 pm eastern that all existing EarningsBeats members are invited to attend. The session will also be recorded for those unable to attend the live event. Market Update: We have new record highs on all of the major indexes as we begin a new trading week. Yes, all of the major indexes are technically overbought and yes, no one seems to care. The VIX is back in the 9's as trader confidence builds. If there's ever a case of the market can remain overbought for an extended period of time, this is it and trying to "fight the tape" has become an exercise in futility. Some will argue that you simply cannot find a better place to put your money today - in the US stock market - and they could be right. Whatever the case, stocks are hot! We made it through last week's Fed rate decision, monthly jobs report and plenty of earnings. And now we're nearing the end of the "peak" earnings season as many of the most visible and important companies have reported their numbers. Now that we've reached new all time highs what might be next? 2600 on the S&P and 6800 on the NASDAQ seem realistic goals. In the meantime, the bulls remain in charge until something changes that flips the momentum. A close back above that level, currently at $33.08, would be very bullish. Mid Cap Watch List None Small Cap Watch List SYNT - Stock is down just over 1% and a close back Friday's close of $23.61 would be bullish. PETS - Stock is up by almost 1.0%.
