Dear Members: Market Update: Traders are gearing up for the long holiday weekend with all of the major indexes slightly lower. Slightly lower isn't so bad considering how strong the market has been recently and a little rest really wouldn't hurt. Trading is likely to be light today but it doesn't mean stocks can't move significantly higher or lower; just that attention is being diverted some with Christmas and New years approaching. The VIX continues to show a very calm trader, long weekend not-withstanding. Not really much more to say except happy holidays to one and all! Companies Reporting earnings today (December 22) Before Market Opens None After Market Closes: None Companies reporting earnings Monday (December 25) Before Market Opens: None After Market Closes: None ADDITIONS TO WATCH LIST None at this time BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: SHORTS: None at this time LONGS: Large Cap Watch List SBAC - Stock is up slightly as it moves into consolidation mode. A close above the 50 day moving average, currently at $160.62, would be bullish. SQ - After hitting both entry levels, SQ Dipped below its INTRA DAY stop of $34.83 so will be removed from the Watch List. Mid Cap Watch List GRA - Stock closed below its 200 day moving average yesterday which was the stop so is being removed from the Watch List. Small Cap Watch List IMAX - Stock is down by 2.4%. If it closes below its 20 day moving average, currently at $24.54, it will be removed from the Watch List. KLIC - Stock is fairly flat after testing its 50 day moving average earlier in the session. If it closes below the 50 day, currently at $24.16, it will be removed from the Watch List. ACLS - Stock is down slightly. Still needs to move back over its 20 day moving average to get back on track.. AVID - Stock is down slightly as it continues to hang around its 20 day moving average, currently at $6.08.
