Dear Members: Market Update: The market continues to hold the line as 2017 winds down. Traders seem content to let the major indexes trade up slightly though the VIX is showing some increased nervousness since the low of last week. Nothing alarming but some hesitancy to get aggressively long here. For sure the bulls will need to work overtime if they hope to match the recent all time highs; that might have to wait until next year as traders turn their collective attention to the extended holiday weekend. This will be my last Market Update of the year. We exited all positions yesterday and will revisit come next Tuesday. In the meantime this is a good time to have some capital available as we see how the year ends and what awaits us come January 2 when the market re-opens for business.
