EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
Market Update:
The bulls are pleased that all of the major indexes have turned green after being lower earlier in the session as we begin a new trading day and week. The VIX is down almost 5% and back below its 20 day moving average as traders breathe a little easier this morning. But we need to remember that both the Dow and S&P remain below their respective 20 and 50 day moving averages which favors the bears. Right now none of the major indexes are oversold but they're not overbought either. So in some ways the market is in "no-man's land" but still favoring the bears. If the bulls hope to turn things to their favor they will need to get the S&P back above 2717 and then 2736, the 20 and 50 day moving averages, respectively. I'm guessing there will be a battle at these levels and if anything we could see profit taking as I don't see the market getting ready to take off. Bottom line here is we're getting a bounce today and might have a ways to go but overall we need to be careful, especially as we get closer to those key technical levels.
