EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: When traders decide in unison to step to the sideline it makes it very difficult for the bulls to make any progress. Ditto when major indexes fall below key technical levels as it becomes a chore to repair the damage. Certainly the heretofore love fest with tech stocks is now in question with the "best of the best" under fire. Facebook alone is down 12% over the past week; ORCL is down 10% today on disappointing earnings, making it very difficult for the NASDAQ as a whole to hold gains. Earlier in the session the NASDAQ had tacked on some nice points but as soon as it tested its 20 day moving average from below the selling kicked in, just as might be expected. Right now we've got a very defined trading range on the NASDAQ; 7288 to the downside and 7379 to the upside. That happens to represent the 50 day and 20 day moving averages, respectively and right now the NASDAQ is trading in the middle of this range. This makes it VERY difficult to trade as the market could go either way. It certainly will help if we see some of the large cap tech stocks regain some strength as without their participation it will be tough for the market to make much progress.
