EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: Market Update: Tech stocks were under fire earlier in the session with Amazon the latest target with the stock down over 3% though the NASDAQ has made a nice turnaround. The VIX has come off of its high as well as it moves closer to the flat line but continues to favor the bears. The Dow and S&P are higher with the bulls trying to keep the S&P above its 200 day moving average. Unfortunately for the bulls, none of the major indexes are technically oversold; getting closer but not there yet. GDP came out better than expected but traders continue to watch each day to see which large cap tech stock might get hit like AMZN is today. Neflix is also feeling selling pressure down over 3%, so two very visible tech stocks contributing to NASDAQ's woes. The bulls know how important it is to hold the 200 day on the S&P, currently at 2588, as it has not been below that level in any meaningful way since March, 2016. So for now we'll call that the line in the sand. To the upside there's a lot of repair work to be done the first hurdle will be yesterday's high of 2674. Bottom line here is you need to be very selective at the moment.
