EB Watch List Update Report

More details later in the week. Market Update: Market volatility continues today with all of the major indexes lower though off the lows of the session. The early selling was pegged to new tariffs announced by China with traders left to wonder how that might impact the market. So of course, when in doubt, the easiest route is to step to the sidelines. Once again the S&P dipped below its 200 day moving average and has now moved back above. But one has to wonder if the bulls will be able to hold above that key level or if we need to see even lower prices to entice more buying. The VIX, currently up almost 6%, confirms continuing worries, even though stocks have gotten cheaper. In fact the NASDAQ is now nearing oversold territory which could explain why it is outperforming the Dow and S&P today. Once again the key here is the S&P; can it hold that 200 day, currently at 2591. If yes then we could possibly see a bounce. However a close back below that level will favor the bears. BRIEF COMMENTS ON WATCH LIST STOCKS SHORTS: None at this time LONGS: Large Cap Watch List ADSK - Stock is down slightly but has held key technical support. A close back above the 20 day moving average, currently at $127.65 would be very bullish. None Mid Cap Watch List IGT - Stock moved below the Intra Day stop of $25.77 so is being removed from the Watch List. Small Cap Watch List CHS - Stock is higher by 1.7% as it continues to consolidate.Still needs to close back above its 50 day, currently at $9.22 if it hopes to make further progress.
