EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: Apple had strong earnings after the bell last night and is being rewarded with a boost of over 4% today. Aside from that not so much great news for the bulls. The VIX is down almost 3% as it continues to show modest worry, nothing troubling but showing traders do not believe the market is necessarily out of the woods. Only the NASDAQ is close to it 20 day moving average. It's the kind of action you expect to see when the market is technically challenged with the bears maintaining the upper hand. Right now the S&P is pretty much in the middle of its 50 and 200 day moving averages; call it directionless, not breaking down totally now but also not breaking out. In looking at a chart of the S&P it has continued to hold multiple times when it visited the 200 day, currently at 2614, during March and April. So without question that is the line in the sand as a close below that level could spell more trouble. In the meantime selectivity remains the buzz word for now.
