EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: So, will the tenth time be the charm? That's about how many times the S&P has moved to and tested its 200 day moving average before bouncing. It's currently just below that level giving the bears something to work with. The Dow is below its 200 day so far as well while the NASDAQ is in a different world at the moment, still not escaping the selling, but with large cap tech stocks at least showing some strength. The VIX is higher by almost 10% with traders keeping one to two fingers on the sell button, or at least not anxious to jump in on the long side. If the S&P does close below the 200 day, currently at 2615, then it's quite possible we'll see a move below 2600 with the next support range between 2550 and 2575. And remember that back in February the S&P got as low as 2532 so the bears will be hoping for a revisit of that area. BUT...we first need to see if that 200 day goes. It's been amazingly stubborn at that level so the bulls will do whatever they can to defend that level. Nonetheless this is a time to be super cautious and we might find at some point much better prices than now which would be just fine.
