EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: We're finally getting a day of well rounded selling with the NASDAQ participating in a big way instead of getting a pass with all of the major indexes lower as we begin a new trading day and week. More talks of additional tariffs, including those in the tech space, spooked traders right out of the gate with the VIX higher by over 20% on increased fear. The selling has taken the S&P below its 50 day moving average while the NASDAQ moved below its 20 day for the first time since early May. And the DOW moved just below its 200 day for the first time since early May as well before bouncing some. Since the NASDAQ has been leading the way higher lately it makes sense to look closely at where there might be support on this selling. It got as low as 7525 so far this morning with the next key level of support somewhere around 7500. So we're going to see if traders are going to jump in on this rare dip in tech stocks or if the selling might pick up as the day progresses. We do need to continue to be careful like we have been for a while but this selling could ultimately present a decent opportunity to nibble here and there on strong, select stocks. In the meantime let's see if the S&P holds its 50 day, currently at 2716 as a move below that level could take stocks even lower with the next key level of support near 2700.
