EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: It's week/month end with money managers scrambling to get things in order as the second quarter comes to an end. Up until yesterday it looked as though all of the major indexes would end up lower for the month. But today's move higher might result in a small gain, depending on how the market closes. But it's been a challenging month for sure with the VIX in the mid 11's early in June only to see it test 20 just a few weeks later showing volatility is live and well. The bulls would certainly like to end the quarter on a positive note with the S&P trying to climb back above its 20 day moving average as we get set to move into Q3. And as we move into July next week we're going to be within just a few weeks of earnings reports coming out in droves. It's certainly a plus that the Dow is leading the charge higher today. However, it still remains technically challenged as it tries to close back above its 200 day with traders still preferring tech stocks over blue chips. If the bulls are successful at closing the S&P above its 20 day, currently at 2741, the next level of resistance will be near 2765. On the flip side, any reversal late in the day would kill the early momentum which is something the bulls will work hard to avoid. A close above that level, currently at $74.15 would be very bullish. Mid Cap Watch List GDOT - Stock is higher by 1.6% with the next key level of resistance at its 20 day moving average, currently at $74.67. A close above that level would be very bullish.
