EB Watch List Update Report

Market Update: Turns out traders liked the monthly jobs report that included more jobs added than expected while the unemployment rose and wages remained contained. All of it combined has stocks higher as we get ready to close out this holiday shortened week. Not surprisingly tech stocks are in the forefront today as the NASDAQ has climbed back above all key technical levels and the good news for the bulls is the S&P has done the same with the Dow the laggard. The VIX is lower by 9% as it retreats back below all key technical levels favoring the bulls. The nice move higher in stocks comes just ahead of the beginning of earnings season that will kick off late next week when some major banks report their numbers. Expectations have been tempered some so any positive surprises - especially on the lagging bank sector - would be most welcomed by the bulls. If the S&P can hold its gains into the close the next key level of resistance will be near 2775. To the downside the bulls will want to protect the 20 day currently at 2737. BRIEF COMMENTS ON WATCH LIST STOCKS SHORTS: None LONGS: Large Cap Watch List EXPD - Stock hit our second entry price of $71.25 this morning. Really would like to see it close back above its 50 day, currently at $72.12 which might get it back on track. Mid Cap Watch List GDOT - Stock is up slightly as it remains above all key technical levels and if it can build on the gains into the close would be bullish. Small Cap Watch List PLAB - We issued a profit alert on this stock this morning at a price of $8.15 representing almost a 9% gain from the original entry price of $7.50. Great trade! GIII - We added this stock to the Watch List this morning at an entry price of $43.68 with a price target of $47.50 and a stop of any INTRA DAY move below $42.90.
