EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: 2800 seems like a magnet recently as it's both a psychological barrier as well as one that the bulls need to clear with some gusto to take the market higher. Today it's hanging right near that level as we begin a new trading day and week. The VIX has moved off of its recent bottom in the 11's and is now challenging both its 20 and 50 day moving averages. So a little bit of nervousness but nothing to get alarmed about. At the moment I don't see any major red flags as all of the major indexes remain above all key technical levels. This week will include tons of key earnings reports from the likes of Amazon, Facebook and Google. We already saw Netflix get knocked down on its numbers so the question is how will the rest of the FANG group do and how might it impact the market? The range on the S&P is pretty well defined here; 2816 to the upside and 2779 to the downside. But really it will be the overall reaction to the slew of earnings reports that come out this and next week that will set the tone for the near term direction of the market.
