EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: Market Update: As expected, the bulls are putting up a good fight exactly where they needed to with both the NASDAQ and S&P holding key technical support levels just when it looked like there could be some major selling. This doesn't mean the market is out of the woods; sentiment has shifted some and we could see profit taking on bounces. But every time the bulls are threatened they come up with a response. The VIX does continue to show that traders have at least one finger on the sell button which could contain buying in the near term. And the NASDAQ has gone from most to least favorite status recently which could also make it tough for the overall market to climb - i.e., big tech is important. We should also keep in mind that historically September is known for being a tough month to navigate. So there are some headwinds the bulls will need to deal with if they hope to keep the momentum. The S&P got as low as 2864 this morning so that is now support. To the upside 2900 is a level the bulls know they must clear to get back on track. In the meantime being very selective here makes a lot of sense. Accordingly there won't be much to add to the Candidate Tracker until activity picks up. That's not really a problem as we have close to 300 stocks on the Candidate Tracker that could become trading candidates under the right circumstances.
