EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: Market Update: Volatility is ruling today as traders try to figure out if key technical levels will hold or not. Already both the Dow and the S&P have dipped back below their respective 20 day moving averages before bouncing while the NASDAQ currently remains below its 20 day with tech stocks continuing to lose some of their luster. Through all of the early ups and downs the bulls have refused to lie down; those dips were bought up. So we might not see the market take off here but we also might see it hold and move into consolidation mode. Whatever the end result it's clear that it continues to be a stock pickers market and unless you happen to be in one of the select few that has continued to move higher with the market stalled it's likely to be frustrating with a lot of churning taking place. For sure we could continue to trade in a narrow range until something happens that "breaks the ice." Right now support on the S&P is the recent low of 2864. To the upside there could be resistance near 2900 so continuing to go slow here until something gives makes a lot of sense. BRIEF COMMENTS ON WATCH LIST STOCKS SHORTS: None LONGS: Large Cap Watch List None Mid Cap Watch List STAY - Stock keeps getting rebuffed near that $20 level but remains above its 200 day moving average. A close above $20 would be bullish and if it closes below its 200 day, currently at $19.69, it will be removed from the Watch List.
