EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: First I wanted to address a very important issue that was raised by a member this morning regarding our trade alerts. Specifically as it pertains to CLDR a stock that hit our price target this morning. I bring this up as we issued a profit alert when the stock opened above our target price. However the stock proceeded to move lower, actually moving into negative territory. I know from past experience that once an email is sent from us to members and enters cyber space it is out of our hands; i.e., when it lands in a members email. This is why when we issue a trade alert we include entry prices, price targets and stop loss and it is up to each individual member to decide if they want to get involved in a trade, knowing ahead of time what specific numbers they should be looking for. When we issue a profit alert it is intended to let members know it will be removed from the Watch List and is no longer active. Everyone should keep this in mind. Market Update The new trading day and week if off to a split start with the Dow and S&P higher while the NASDAQ is in the red. It's obvious why tech stocks are under fire today; Apple got another downgrade with the stock down another 3%, so almost 10% lower since it announced its earnings last week. The VIX is showing nerves being tested again as it climbs back above all key technical levels; it's tough to convince traders to jump in on the long side when the fear meter shows continuing hesitation to commit dollars to stocks. So what might traders be worried about today? To start we've got the mid-term elections tomorrow with no certainty as to the possible outcome. Next, the Fed will make its next interest rate announcement on Thursday. No one is expecting them to raise rates this time around; traders are more worried about what they might say about future rate increases. Let's also not forget that both the NASDAQ and S&P remain below all key technical levels; the bears are firmly in control. On a positive note all of the major indexes are well off the recent lows; you have to start somewhere. Still, traders continue to have a few fingers on the sell button; all benefit of the doubt at the moment goes to the bears. So until we see something that shows a shift in momentum we need to proceed with caution.
