EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: First, we had our Strong Earnings Chartlist webinar yesterday and the recording is now available to members who were unable to attend or those who were present who would like to review: https://www.earningsbeats.com/members/Strong-Earnings-Chartlist-Webinar-2.cfm Market Update: It was disappointing to see stocks on our Watch List stop out yesterday then came this morning as a reminder that we set stops for a reason with all of the major indexes lower though well off session lows. For the first time in a while it's the blue chips that are getting hit the hardest though at the low of the sessions both the NASDAQ and S&P were hit hard as well. In fact the NASDAQ got within easy striking range of its April 4 low of 6811 before bouncing 150 points off of today's low. That type of reversal should be seen as positive IF it can hold as the day progresses. But one has to wonder if the nice move off the low will be seen as an opportunity to lock in profits rather than a sign that we've seen a near term low. We are in an historically bullish time of the year but traders aren't thinking about history; they're thinking about how to preserve capital in this highly volatile market. Even with all of the selling of late none of the major indexes should be considered technically oversold though each day of selling puts them closer to being oversold. It does take a leap of faith to take on long positions when you see the Dow down 500+ points. And the market does have a way of overdoing it both ways. Perhaps the late day action will give us some new clues; IS the worst of the selling near or could there be more to come? We'll keep an eye on the action and go from there.
