EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Market Update: It's Fed interest rate announcement day with all of the major indexes trading higher with the bulls hoping that any early gains can hold. Of course that has not been the case lately with traders content to lock in any profits they can while the market tries to find a bottom. On a positive note for the bulls the S&P retested the February low of 2530 both Monday and yesterday and so far has held. That has been considered an important level of support. The VIX is lower but not by much as it continues to show traders are in no mood to put too much capital at risk. Of course today's Fed event could be a game changer; with markets oversold there's a perfect opportunity for a nice rally. On the other hand if traders don't like what they hear we could see another leg down. Best at this point to wait and see how the day progresses and go from there.
