EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
We had a full house for our "2019 Market Outlook" webinar yesterday and a thorough presentation by Tom Bowley including what to look for into year end and beyond. I will make sure everyone receives a copy of the recording, hopefully by day's end.
Market Update:
One of the benefits of a market that keeps going lower is stocks keep getting cheaper. We're seeing that today with all of the major indexes lower. At these levels all of the indexes are oversold; when you keep going straight down that's bound to happen. But at the same time the interest on the long side is pretty non-existent. And the VIX keeps climbing as traders continue to climb the wall of worry. You have to go back to September of last year to find the S&P this low and it looks like 2474 is the next level of support. Might that generate some buying interest? Maybe. But even then we keep seeing bounces followed by profit taking. We've been used to seeing the market rally with dumping into the close so it wouldn't be bad if we saw strength into the close for a change. So let's watch to see what develops as the day proceeds and take it from there.
