EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
Market Update:
The bulls are back at it again after the recent bout of selling with the NASDAQ and S&P higher with the Dow struggling with Boeing continuing to remain under pressure. Worth pointing out is the surge in Apple the past three sessions with the stock higher by over 7.5% which is helping to offset the sharp move lower in BA while boosting tech stocks. We've also got Microsoft higher by 5.5% the past three sessions, so the two largest market cap companies in the world marching higher in unison just after it looked like the bears were ready to inflict some serious pain. The VIX is showing the big shift from heightened fear just last week to much more confidence in stocks in spite of the much weaker than expected jobs report on Friday. In other words we're quickly back to the market focusing on what's working right rather than what's not. Still, the bulls are back to facing the 2800 level on the S&P which has been hard to clear with any gusto. And with Boeing's woes of late the Dow is struggling to remain above key technical levels. Thus we remain in the current trading range on the S&P of 2722 to the downside and 2817 to the upside; very risky to get aggressively long here and likely frustrating to take on short positions.

JBHT - Stock is lower by 1% after moving higher in the session as it struggles to stay above its 50 day moving average, currently at $103.85. A close above or below that level could help determine the near term direction of the stock.
