EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: Market Update: So; where has the S&P gone since mid October? The answer is...nowhere. Of course there's been a lot of activity between the high back then of 2813 and the December low of 2346 and if you were clever enough to catch the top to short and the bottom to go long then you're likely ahead of your fellow traders. But here we are again with the S&P showing signs of life as it challenges the 2810+ level for the seventh time since the mid October top. At the same time the VIX is at its lowest level since the beginning of October showing traders have confidence in stocks. Some additional good news for the bulls; none of the major indexes are technically overbought. Of the three the NASDAQ comes the closest but certainly not at a level that shows tech stocks are stretched. It's helping a lot that Apple continues higher and that Microsoft is nearing its all time high. So the question is; can the bulls finally clear that 2817 level on the S&P? If they can then there's more room to run to the upside with the next key level of resistance near 2875. On the other hand if we see another failure at that level then all bets are off.
