EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: Market Update: The selling on Friday put the bulls on the defensive for the first time in a while with some follow through selling this morning as we begin a new trading day and week. All of the sudden all of the major indexes are below their respective 20 day moving averages as traders try to decide if this will be another quick buy the dip event or if some additional selling is needed to satisfy the bears. The VIX is up another 7% as it climbs back above all key technical levels; traders have gotten nervous again. The good news for those who have been on the sidelines is stocks have gotten cheaper and might get even cheaper if the selling picks up. And in fact this selling has been long overdue. Right now the next key level of support is in near 2750 on the S&P with the 200 day moving average at 2755. It might not get down to that level but if it does we could start to see some interest on the buy side. BRIEF COMMENTS ON WATCH LIST STOCKS SHORTS: None LONGS: Large Cap Watch List None Mid Cap Watch List LEG - Stock is down slightly as it struggles to stay above its 200 day moving average. A close back above that level, currently at $41.01, would be bullish. In the meantime we'll keep our stop of any CLOSE below $40.50 in place.
