EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
Market Update:
The bulls are squinting their eyes this morning wondering why the market could be red with all of the major indexes lower as we begin a new trading day and week. Kidding aside, there are two stocks that are putting some pressure on blue chip stocks; Boeing which is down 3% and GE down over 6%. Otherwise this should hardly be seen as a significant pullback with all of the major indexes well off session lows as buying on the dips remains in vogue. At current lofty levels any selling or even consolidation helps to relieve overbought oscillators as stocks have moved higher pretty much non-stop going on four months now. This week marks the official beginning of earnings season starting Friday with all eyes on the big banks that have lagged for quite a while now. Again, expectations have been lowered so any positive surprises might help embolden the bulls even more. Friday the S&P got as high as 2893, right near resistance with the next hurdle up at 2900. Support is down near the 20 day moving average of 2838, so lots of room to fall if selling ever sticks. But at the moment the bulls want nothing to do with that.
