EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
Market Update:
The bulls were hoping to add on to last week's gains but traders are taking advantage of the recent run up while taking some profits off the table and with all of the major indexes lower. This shouldn't be too surprising with the S&P within striking range of its all time high and considering it was overbought coming into this morning's session. There's also some pressure on blue chips this morning with Goldman Sachs down over 3% on its earnings report this morning and Citigroup down over 1% as it reported s well. Speaking of earnings it's going to start to heat up big time this week and especially next week with both IBM and Netflix on tap to report their numbers after the bell tomorrow night as traders get a first peek at two tech giants. With NFLX struggling lately the market reaction to their numbers could be telling. Once again we need to keep things in perspective here; today's selling has so far been contained with traders continuing to be ready to pick up stocks on pull backs. Thus we'll continue to give the bulls the edge here unless something changes that warrants more caution.
