EB Watch List Update Report

We saw that this morning when futures were bright green then bright red then...you get the point. Unfortunately for the bulls none of the major indexes are technically oversold; there's still plenty of room for the market to go lower. If there one thing I've spotted which might come into play by tomorrow it's options expiration where there are a large number of QQQ puts above current levels. Since Market Makers like to gut premium before options expire it could be one thing that keeps the market from cratering and possibly even a bounce to wipe out as much premium as possible. I would watch to see if the QQQ's make their way back to 185 by tomorrow. But almost everything else is favoring the bulls; a VIX back over 20, crosses all the way around, seasonality; no one wants to make any big bets here. It's also difficult for both the longs and the shorts when one tweet can turn things around instantly in either direction. Thus an elevated VIX. I point to my update yesterday where I indicated 2822 on the S&P needed to hold. It got as low as 2835 this morning before bouncing some. But in order for the bulls to get control of the market the S&P needs to close back above its 50 day moving average, currently at 2943. That's a tall order at the moment which means it makes most sense to be very careful here, watch to see what happens as the day progresses and then revisit in the morning.
