Market Update: Another positive day for the bulls as we begin a new trading day and week with all of the major indexes higher. The bulls got a nice assist when all of the major indexes cleared all key technical levels last week and since then they have had the advantage. It also helped that the VIX moved below all key technical levels though it is up 2% today as traders start to wonder how long the current rally might last. If the bulls are able to maintain control of the action the next level of resistance will be at 3000. The S&P got as high as 2989 today so it's certainly in sight. To the downside the first key level of technical support will be the 50 day, currently at 2947. So a fairly narrow trading range and we might just see some consolidation here as traders try to determine if there's much upside left in the short term or if it's time to take some profits. Overall bullish but maybe not a time to be deploying too much fresh capital to the long side.
