Volatility has picked up, but the net change has been minimal. Historically, the stock market is in a sweet spot, but technically we're quite challenged. 1st quarter GDP fell far short of expectations this morning, but given the weather across many parts of the country in January and February, the shortfall isn't too surprising. Defensive areas of the market are attracting more than their fair share of money, so I'm looking for a stock market retreat sooner rather than later. But trading remains highly risky as whipsaw action continues. Please be careful. ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: There are no additions to our Watch Lists today. I am still planning to add at least a few new names to the various Watch Lists - either tomorrow or Friday. Expect additional Short Watch List stocks given the current trading environment. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Short Watch List: No new comments today. Large Cap Watch List: VIPS - Again bounced after reaching recent price support close to 130.00. Mid Cap Watch List: KFY - Recently discussed entry points at 28.00 and 27.25. Today's low was 27.97 before bouncing strongly back to the 29.00 level. Consider taking quick profits given the market environment and the recent whipsaw action. Volume is very light today on the bounce. Small Cap Watch List: PLOW - Has visited the low end of its 16.50-17.80 trading range - and bounced. Volume is very light, however, so take advantage of bounces to take small profits.
