Dear Members, KEY EARNINGS REPORTS: Monday: AMGN, AVB, BWLD, HUN, MRK, STX, TMUS, TWTR Tuesday: AET, APC, BP, CMI, COH, DD, EA, ESRX, FB, GILD, MAR, PFE, PNRA, SIRI, SNCR, VDSI, WDC, WYNN, X MARKET NOTE: The market last week withstood what normally can be a very rough week for equities. Historically, the fourth week of October is the worst week of the year on the S&P 500, dating back to 1950. So the bulls can at least rejoice over having weathered that potential storm. Now we move into the historically favorable end of October to beginning of November period as the largest number of S&P 500 companies (approx 35%) report earnings. Strap on your seat belts! ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: There are no additions to our Watch Lists today. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Short Watch List: There are no Short Watch List stocks at this time. Large Cap Watch List: ILMN - Trying to close over 190 for the first time. NKE - Pushing to fresh highs, which is nice, but there is a long-term negative divergence - so be careful and don't be afraid to lock in profits. PLL - Getting closer to our target of 90.25. Very nice action of late. SPR - Trendline resistance and the 50 day SMA posing the short-term difficulty. Mid Cap Watch List: GRUB - Again approached our closing stop level of 35.25 before bouncing quite strongly today. I'd like to see continuing strength this afternoon. JACK - Reached its measurement and our target of 72.00. WE ARE REMOVING JACK FROM OUR WATCH LIST. Great trade!!! MLNX - Trying to hold onto its breakout level. Volume trends solid. SNCR - Near its breakout level, but WE ARE REMOVING SNCR FROM OUR WATCH LIST AS IT REPORTS EARNINGS ON TUESDAY. VEEV - Held its 20 day EMA, which is technically important in the short-term.
