Tom Bowley -
Dear Members, KEY EARNINGS REPORTS: Tuesday: ADM, AET, AFL, AGN, AMP, AMTD, APD, BIDU, BP, BWLD, CMI, EA, GILD, HRS, LNKD, NOK, PFE, TRLA, VLO, WM Wednesday: ADP, BMC, CMCSA, CNW, CSC, EGN, EXPE, FB, GLW, GM, GRMN, GSK, HES, KRFT, MCHP, MET, MUR, PSX, S, SBUX, SHOR, TASR, V These are just a few of the companies reporting today and Monday. Please check the earnings dates for any stocks you own. ADDITIONS TO WATCH LIST: There are no additions to our Watch Lists today. Keep in mind that we have adjusted our trading strategies to allow for an initial entry at the current price. 2nd and 3rd entries will be provided on the annotated charts that will be provided this evening. If you prefer keeping risks low, even if it means missing out on upside, consider waiting for the later entries instead of taking an initial position at current prices. Also remember that stocks will continually be added throughout earnings season. Therefore, review the stocks identified and consider owning those that are most appealing to you. Don't feel compelled to buy every stock added. BRIEF COMMENTS ON WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List: FOSL - Threatening breakout once again, but with lighter-than-normal volume. It would be better to see this one pull back slightly in a handle. GOOG - Moving back towards its recent high. Still looks strong. HAS - So much for relief. HAS continues pushing higher, now only a little more than two dollars from our target price. MCK - A close over 155.00 would add to the near-term bullishness. NKE - Initial entry is the rising 20 day EMA, which is now at 74.00. Mid Cap Watch List: ASNA - Extending its gains from Monday. While our target is 22.25, clearing 20.59 closing resistance will be Job 1. BRCD - Has seen its MACD fall almost all the way back to centerline support with an RSI bouncing off 40 support. Is this the move we've been waiting for? It could use more volume. CIEN - With an RSI near 40, this is another that may move higher sooner rather than later. The next level of support is 23.40. DXCM - False breakout earlier today on light volume. Market makers are doing what they do best. FOE - Falling nicely. FOE is simply too stretched to take on an initial position at current price. RSI has been above 70 for 6 weeks. The first entry at 11.21 represents the top of gap support. KFY - Challenging recent highs, but on lighter volume. Looks good, but another pullback could be in the cards. LXK - Remains within its cup with handle pattern, minus the right side of the cup and the handle, which we are hoping forms. :-) LYV - Thinking we might see some short-term weakness as a long-term negative divergence prints on lesser volume. NTCT - High volatility continues while the volume shrinks. 27.40 remains the best price support level for entry. SAPE - Has been sideways consolidating since its last earnings-related gap higher. This one may be removed without an opportunity for entry. SNX - The good news is it hit our target. The bad news is that it never triggered an entry. TIBX - Has been trading in a channel for the last several months. It's moving closer and closer to the bottom trendline line support. Small Cap Watch List: SHOR - WE ARE REMOVING SHOR FROM OUR WATCH LIST AS THEY REPORT EARNINGS ON WEDNESDAY. TASR - WE ARE REMOVING TASR FROM OUR WATCH LIST AS THEY REPORT EARNINGS ON WEDNESDAY. DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS: We are removing SHOR and TASR from our Small Cap Watch List immediately as they report earnings on Wednesday. We like both stocks, but we don't like risking our capital into earnings reports. Happy trading! Tom Bowley Chief Equity Strategist EarningsBeats.com
