EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members,
KEY EARNINGS REPORTS:
Wednesday: DE
Friday: None
Monday: None
MARKET NOTE:
Economic reports this morning (and there were plenty of them) were mostly very weak, and the treasury market seems to be anticipating it as the 10 year treasury yield ($TNX) has begun to spiral lower once again, failing to hold onto 2.30% short-term yield support. Equity markets don't seem to care as prices begrudgingly move higher yet again. It certainly appears as though equity traders are applauding any good economic news and then playing their Federal Reserve trump card when news is poor - like it is today. Either way, it's very difficult to take a stand against this bull market right now.
ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS:
There are no additions to our Watch Lists today. We will likely be adding a few names to our lists either on Friday or early next week.
BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS:
Short Watch List:
There are no Short Watch List stocks at this time.
Large Cap Watch List:
No comments on any of our Large Cap stocks at this time as there are no significant changes from yesterday.
Mid Cap Watch List:
CUBE - Opened slightly above 21.40 resistance today but volume is light and there is a long-term negative divergence. CUBE could certainly rise further as it's a strong stock, but taking at least partial profits at this level wouldn't be a bad strategy at all.
INFN - Consolidating in a flag pattern for now.
IRBT - Volume accelerated on Tuesday and IRBT finally closed above 36.36 resistance. It's seen some profit taking earlier today, but is back to 36.16 (had an earlier low of 35.67) at last check. Another close today above 36.36 would be bullish action.
ODP - Showing some short-term weakness but volume trends are very strong. I believe it's just a matter of time before the uptrend resumes. The 6.40-6.50 area could be the reversal level, especially with the rising 20 day EMA now up to 6.38.
TASR - MASSIVE volume today as TASR breaks out to an all-time high. Unless we see a reversal later today and a close beneath 21.00, I'd expect to see higher prices near-term.
VDSI - Big volume confirming breakout, but there is a long-term negative divergence. Therefore, consider raising closing stop to 28.27.
CMPR - Light volume, but a nice bounce off the rising 20 day EMA nonetheless. A close above 68.82 will need more volume to confirm.
Small Cap Watch List:
No comments at this time.
DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS:
There are no deletions today unless closing stops are triggered.
Happy Thanksgiving and happy trading!
