EB Watch List Update Report

KEY EARNINGS REPORTS: Monday: CNA, CSC, DO, GOLD, HAS, L, NTES, TDW Tuesday: AKAM, CDW, CVS, FTI, KO, NCR, RAI, SEE, TAP, TM, TRMB MARKET NOTE: It's been a fairly boring day today after all the recent volatility, but that's not a bad thing at all. The Volatility index (VIX) did spike at today's open and could be a sign that volatility will return later today. We'll see. The good news thus far is that key areas of the market that broke out recently are continuing their climb - areas like home construction ($DJUSHB), toys ($DJUSTY) and business training & employment agencies ($DJUSBE). These are all in the consumer discretionary space and have likely benefited from a better jobs picture and lower crude oil prices ($WTIC). ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: There are no additions to our Watch Lists at this time. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Short Watch List: There are no Short Watch List stocks at this time. Large Cap Watch List: BA - Showed a bit of weakness at today's open, but buyers have returned. As volume subsides, we may see a 20 day EMA test here. RAX - Failed on Friday just beneath 48.24 resistance. That's a level to consider taking profits until we see a closing breakout, especially one on increasing volume. RHT - Been trading mostly between its 20 day EMA and 50 day SMA. It has continued to hold onto support, however. Mid Cap Watch List: SYNA - Bounced after trading slightly beneath initial (gap) support at 75.12. Good action thus far. VDSI - Had a rough day on Friday, failing to hold onto 20 day EMA support, but it did continue to hold price support. Today it's performing much better technically although it could use more volume and a close back above its 20 day EMA. Small Cap Watch List: There are no Small Cap Watch List stocks at this time.
