Dear Members, KEY EARNINGS REPORTS: Wednesday: AEM, AMAT, AMX, AOL, AUY, BIDU, CSCO, CTRP, FEYE, GNRC, HSIC, LO, MET, MOS, NTAP, NVDA, OC, PEP, PNRA, SLF, TRIP, TSLA, TWX, WCG, WFM, Z, ZU Thursday: AAP, AIG, AIZ, APA, AVP, BG, BWA, CBS, CS, GRPN, HSP, K, KRFT, LBTYA, MFC, NLSN, RIO, SON, TRLA MARKET NOTE: There's little news to trade off of today, but that will change tomorrow morning at 8:30am EST when the latest monthly retail sales numbers are released. This is particularly important right now because consumer discretionary (XLY) is the only sector breaking out to fresh new highs. Traders will be looking for a better-than-expected report and the bar is set low with consensus estimates showing a 0.5% DROP anticipated. Excluding autos & gas, however, retail sales are expected to rise 0.4%. Also notable is the fact that crude oil prices ($WTIC) struggled as they approached $55 per barrel and the 50 day SMA. Since that time, we've seen a drop of roughly 10% in crude oil prices back into the upper $40s. ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: There are no additions to our Watch Lists at this time, although last night in our webinar we discussed 38 trading candidates that have produced revenues and EPS that both beat Wall Street consensus estimates AND also look very strong technically. Some of these stocks will likely find their way onto our various Watch Lists over the coming days and weeks. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Short Watch List: There are no Short Watch List stocks at this time. Large Cap Watch List: MCO - Seeing some profit taking as volume subsides. RAX - The good news is that it made another breakout on Tuesday. The bad news is that volume was moderate at best. Your call, but taking profits isn't a bad idea. RHT - Attempting to close at its highest level since its gap down in early January. Could use more volume to support this move. Mid Cap Watch List: VDSI - Volume accelerating on today's push higher, a bullish development. Small Cap Watch List: There are no Small Cap Watch List stocks at this time.
