EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: The market is trying to steady here after the recent bout of selling it's not exactly like stocks are on fire with only the NASDAQ higher. But at least so far today the S&P has put in a higher low compared to yesterday. Still, traders are looking for reasons to go long and are having a tough time finding them. So, the buyers strike continues. Unfortunately for the bears they don't have much to work with as all of the major indexes are technically broken which makes it even harder for traders to hit the buy button. Job one for the bulls will be to try to at least hold yesterday's low of 1929. Below that is 1911 then 1903, the September 1 low. After that we're looking at a retest of the August 24 low. So not much margin for selling here. And the bulls won't be able to reclaim any technical advantage unless the S&P closes back above its 20 day moving average, now at 1970. So we continue to trade in no-man's land, not so conducive to making successful trades. Thus, we will continue to proceed with caution. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (September 23) include: SCS Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (September 24) include: ACN, BBBY, JBL, NKE, ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: There are no additions to our Watch List today; let's get through this historically rough period before doing much of anything. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List AMZN - As a reminder, this stock was removed from the Watch List yesterday as it closed below our raised stop of $539. It turned out to be a nice 12% winner! Mid Cap Watch List NUVA - Stock continues to remain above all key technical levels Small Cap Watch List RUBI - Stock continues to consolidate and a close above $15.33 would be bullish. DVAX - Stock is higher by 1.5% today and a close back above $29.63 would put it back above all key technical levels which would be a positive.
