EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
MARKET NOTE:
The buyers strike continues today though each day of selling puts us one day closer to some type of bottom. Presently we're testing the September 4 low of 1911 and are not that far from the September low of 1903. Something worth considering here: At this moment the S&P is less than 2.5% from the August 24 low of 1867. Yet the VIX is at 24 compared to being over 50 on the big swoosh lower we saw on August 24. So while traders remain concerned it is nowhere near the level of worry one month ago today. Something else worth noting are government bond yields which have really fallen. For example, the yield on the ten year treasury bond is at 2.09% and is below all key technical levels. You have to go back to that August 24 date to see the yield this low. All of this leading traders to being more comfortable laying low than anything else.
