EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: The S&P continues to flirt with it's 50 day moving average at 1994 with the bears trying to hold the line. It's a big battle because it's an important level where the market either stalls or possibly takes another crack at the most recent high of 2020. For sure the bulls are working hard to keep their recent found momentum. And it's coming as earnings season gets underway today with Alcoa reporting its numbers after the bell. The pecking order remains the same; the Dow is the strongest major index, the NASDAQ the weakest. So if the S&P can close above 1994 we would have two of the three major indexes regaining some technical advantage which would be bullish. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (October 8) include: AA, DPZ and HELE Companies reporting earnings Friday (October 9) include: There are no key earnings reports due out today ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: We updated our Candidate Tracker and removed almost 100 stocks that are set to report earnings soon. We will replenish with new stocks as the number of companies reporting earnings grows. We are going to remain disciplined here as we get ready to move into earnings season and as the market continues to try to find a tradeable bottom. If we identify a stock we are adding to our Watch List at any point during the day we will let you know. What we do know is there will be companies that beat earnings expectations and have strong charts and those that are the highest reward to risk trading candidates will be added to our Watch List as appropriate.
