EB Watch List Update Report

Most likely traders are waiting to see how earnings turn out with thousands of companies set to report over the next few weeks. For sure the market is in better shape today than it was a few weeks back when the S&P retested the August 24 low. Since then the bulls have managed to control the action and are now hoping to hold on to all of the recent gains and add on if possible. It's still very early in the session today but so far the S&P is trading in a six point range. So not making progress but holding as well. At the moment the range on the S&P is 2020 to the upside and 1990 to the downside. So if we do see some selling we'll want to see if traders are be interested in buying on dips though there haven't been many dips since the most recent bottom. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (October 12) include: There are no key earnings reports due out today Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (October 13) include: CSX, FAST, HSG, INTC, JNJ, JPM, KMI, LVS, There are no key earnings reports due out on Monday ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: Earnings season is now under way and we'll be hearing from some big names tomorrow including Intel, Johnson and Johnson and JP Morgan, so some sector variety which will give traders a first glimpse of what they might expect. The number of key companies reporting will increase as the week progresses and will soon let us start replenishing our Candidate Tracker with those companies that beat earnings and have solid charts that might become high reward to risk trading candidates.
