EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: Market Note: The market is finally getting some relief as I had hoped with all of the major indexes lower. The market had gotten ahead of itself and signs were building that some selling was needed. It really needed to happen as it has been non-stop higher since the most recent bottom. Part of the pressure today includes some weaker than expected economic reports. Also let's remember that the Fed will be making its rate announcement tomorrow and even though traders know they will do nothing the market tends to be cautious ahead of any Fed event. In addition, the energy sector is back to feeling the negative effects of lower oil, which might be good for the consumer but hurts an important group of stocks. The first line of defense for the bulls is right at 2060 on the S&P which represents the 200 day moving average. If that goes look to see if 2052 holds. Key Earnings Reports Today is a big earnings day, especially with the largest market cap company in the world, Apple, reporting its numbers after the bell. And when AAPL reports, the market listens. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS Presently, VRA is the only active stock but that will begin to change over the next few days. The stock continues to consolidate and needs to close back above $13 to make further progress to the upside. At your service, John Hopkins, EarningsBeats
