EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: First, please note that Tom Bowley has posted a new article in his blog on our site exclusively for EarningsBeats members. It is a very timely article that focuses on the VIX and what it might be telling us about the market at this particular moment in time. Very worth reading! MARKET NOTE: We just witnessed horrific events in France over the weekend and all things considered the market is holding up quite well. By holding up well I don't mean the market is in high gear here; not at all. In fact, all of the major indexes remain technically challenged and as Tom's article points out fear has risen which is keeping many traders on the sideline. The S&P got as low as 2019 today which is only 10 points above the next critical level of support at 2009 which represents the 200 day moving average. So in addition to the market trying to absorb and decipher the events of the weekend the bulls could soon be challenged to hold key support or risk even further selling. The range on the S&P right now is 2009 to the downside and 2057 to the upside. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (November 16) include: A and DDS Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (November 17) include: DKS, HD, JACK and WMT ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: We added CTXS to our Watch List on Friday and all of the important information is on our site. There are other stocks on our Candidate Tracker that are good trading candidates but given the increase in volatility and the current technical damage in all of the major indexes we need to tread lightly here until we see signs of improvement. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List CTXS - Stock us up 1% today and a close above $79.63 would be bullish. FLEX - Stock is fairly flat today and a first step to get the stock back on track would be a close above $11.09. Mid Cap Watch List There are no mid cap stocks on the Watch List at this time Small Cap Watch List PLAY - This stock has been struggling mightily lately and continues to struggle today. It needs to close above $36 or it will be removed from our Watch List. SWHC - Stock is fairly flat after moving higher earlier in the session. DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS: There are no deletions from the Watch List today unless a Watch List stock closes below the stop loss provided. At your service, John Hopkins, EarningsBeats
