EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: First, please note that I have posted a new Behavior Modification Case Study which you can find under my blog on the site. MARKET NOTE: The market is dealing with new hostilities and being reminded how vulnerable stocks are to sudden bad news. It's also a reminder of how the market has gone nowhere for a full year with the S&P closing at 2067 one year ago compared to being close to 2070 today. That's about as flat as you can possibly get. The NASDAQ is feeling the brunt of the selling, down over 1% at its session lows and as it neared its 20 day moving average. In the meantime, the S&P got within 5 points of its 200 day moving average, a level the bulls would most definitely prefer to hold. For once oil is higher while the overall market is lower but even that is off its high of the day. And the VIX has spiked almost 10%, a reminder that traders are not yet overly confident at the moment. All of this happening at one of the most bullish historical times of the year with the bulls hoping the selling is short lived. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (November 24) include: ADI, CPB, CHS, CBRL, DLTR, DSW, EV, GES, HRL, HPQ and TIF Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (November 25) include: DE and DCI ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: We'll hold off on adding any new stocks to our Watch List at the moment as we watch for signs that the worst of the selling is over. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List BSX - Stock is bucking the trend today and a close over $18.40 would be bullish. NKE - Stock is down slightly but remains strong here. FLEX - Stock continues to challenge its 20 day moving average and a close above $11.26 would be bullish. Mid Cap Watch List EEFT - Stock is down 2% as it challenges its 50 day moving average for the first time since early September. It needs to close above $76.30 or risk further selling. WYN - This stock is in the hospitality sector which is under fire today given world events. It will need to close back above $77.13 to regain some technical strength. Small Cap Watch List INVN - Stock is flat and with the next key level of resistance at $11.45. SWHC - Stock is down slightly but remains above all key technical levels. DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS: There are no deletions from the Watch List today unless a Watch List stock closes below the stop loss provided. At your service, John Hopkins, EarningsBeats
