EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: Traders apparently re-evaluated the strong jobs report and positive market reaction on Friday over the weekend and are back to being in a profit mood with all of the major indexes lower. The big culprit today could be oil as WTI rude retests its lows of the year. This downward pressure on oil has the overall energy sector down almost 5%. It's very tough for the market to make advances when you have such a key sector getting hammered. The selling today has the NASDAQ near its comfort zone of late at 5100. And the S&P once again failed in its attempt on Friday to recapture 2100. So all in all, not great action, representative of what traders have had to contend with lately. Should the selling continue today the bulls will need to hold 2064 on the S&P as a close below that level would be bearish. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (December 7) include: HRB, UNFI and MTN Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (December 8) include: AZO, PLAY, SWHC and TOL ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: First, please note that we will be adding roughly 50 new stocks to the Candidate Tracker by tomorrow. We will let you know when they are on the site. Next, we are going to hold off adding any stocks to the Watch List today until things settle down. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List BSX - Stock is holding up quite well today relative to the overall market and the next key level of resistance continues to be near $18.90. FLEX - Stock is down slightly and a close above 11.52 would be very bullish. JNPR - Stock is flat today and we would like to see it close back above $30.03 which would be bullish. Mid Cap Watch List EEFT - Stock is higher today and needs to get back above $77 to get back on track. WYN - Stock is down just over 1% today and needs to close back above $76.83 which would be bullish. Small Cap Watch List IMPV - Stock is struggling today, down over 3%. It needs to close back above $72.41 which would put it above all key technical levels. INVN - Stock is down over 3% today after showing strength recently. It needs to hold $11.65 or will be at risk for additional selling. DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS: There are no deletions from the Watch List today unless a Watch List stock closes below the stop loss provided. At your service, John Hopkins, EarningsBeats
