EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: First, please note that I have added a new Behavior Modification Case Study to my blog which you can now find on the site. MARKET NOTE: In the recent never ending quest to find a tradeable bottom traders find themselves getting nowhere fast. Just this morning futures were down sharply only to see the market rally with the NASDAQ and S&P actually turning green. But that didn't last long. The move off of today's bottoms may have been partly due to oil turning positive after moving almost non-stop lower for the past week. But now oil is back in the red. So traders are challenged to try to find a bottom in oil as well. 5100 on the NASDAQ continues to be elusive and 2100 on the S&P seems like a big stretch as well. It just might be that the market is waiting for confirmation that the Fed will be raising rates next week. It's already a foregone conclusion they will raise, especially after the most recent jobs report, but traders might like to see it to believe it. In the meantime, expect the market to meander until the S&P firmly closes above 2100. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (December 8) include: AZO, PLAY, SWHC and TOL Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (December 9) include: COST, KFY, LULU and FIZZ ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: First, please note that we will be adding roughly 50 new stocks to the Candidate Tracker later today and will let you know when they are on the site. We aren't going to add any new stocks at the moment; just too tricky out there at the moment. We either need to see the market fall even further to find a bottom or let it break out above key resistance levels before getting too aggressive. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List BSX - The stock continues to consolidate, which is fine, and the next key level of resistance remains near $18.90. FLEX - We have decided to remove FLEX from the Watch List as it simply hasn't made the move we were looking for and is now below all key technical levels so not looking so healthy at the moment. It's down slightly from our first entry level and perhaps we will revisit it down the road. JNPR - Stock is flat as it is now between its 50 and 20 day moving averages. It needs to hold here and climb back above $30 to make further progress to the upside. Mid Cap Watch List EEFT - Stock is struggling along with the rest of the market and still needs to get back above $77 to get back on track. WYN - This stock has suffered some technical damage as it remains below all key technical levels. It needs to close back above $76.50 to begin some technical repair. Small Cap Watch List IMPV - Stock is up almost 2.5% today, regaining some of yesterday's losses. A close back above $$72.50 would put it back above all key technical levels. INVN - This stock has lost some of its luster the past few trading sessions after making a nice move after it was added to the Watch List. It would be a positive if the stock could close back above $11.63. DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS: We are removing FLEX from the Watch List at the current price (at time of email) of $11.05. There are no other deletions from the Watch List today unless a Watch List stock closes below the stop loss provided. At your service, John Hopkins, EarningsBeats
