EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: First, please note that I have added a new Behavior Modification Case Study that is now available under my blog on the site. MARKET NOTE: The bulls are attempting to add on to yesterday's gains which minor success. At one point earlier in the session the NASDAQ cleared its 200 day moving average but since then has pulled back some, very typical of what we've seen of late which is akin to pulling teeth. One plus is the S&P has climbed back above 2020. Another plus; historically, the time of the year doesn't get any better than this. So if the market can't rally over the next week+ it's going to defy history. Another plus today; oil is higher, something rare these days. So we've got some pluses in our favor; now we need to see if traders as a whole agree. We do want to see if the S&P holds the 2020 level by day end. To the upside a close above 2043 would be bullish. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (December 22) include: CAG, MU, NKE and PAXY Companies reporting earnings Wednesday (December 23) include: CALM ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: We are adding Callidus Software (CALD) to our small cap Watch List at the current price (at time of this email) of $18.93 with a second entry on a pullback to $18.30 with a price target of $21.40 and a stop loss of a close below $18. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: Large Cap Watch List BSX - Stock is lower today as it looks to hold its 50 day moving average near $18. A close below that level could take the stock lower. FB - Stock is fairly flat and is trying to hold its 20 day moving average near $105. A close above $106.79 would be bullish. JNPR - This stock closed below our stop loss yesterday so has been removed from our Watch List. Mid Cap Watch List COLM - Stock is flat and a close above $46.33 would be bullish. SBGI - Stock has given up yesterday's gains as it failed to clear its 50 day moving average and is now close to our original entry price of $31.85. Small Cap Watch List AMKR - Stock is up slightly and a close back above $6.44 would be very bullish. DELETIONS FROM OUR WATCH LISTS: JNPR has been removed from the Watch List as it closed below its stop level. There are no other deletions from the Watch List today unless a Watch List stock closes below the stop loss provided. At your service, John Hopkins, EarningsBeats
